Kirkstall Abbey Multi colour print

Kirkstall Abbey is a ruined Cistercian monastery in north-west of Leeds in West Yorkshire England. It is set in a public park on the banks of the Aire River It was founded c.1152.
It was partially destroyed by Henry the 8th as part of his purge on the wealth of the Monasteries.
The picturesque ruins have been drawn and painted by the great William Turner and now my hmble attempt – this is a multi colour print based on two Lino Blocks

The first plate cut was the Black based on a Photo I took recently, then a second plate cut and printed in Blue and green – with the black then printed over the top
