Boba Fett

 

Boba Fett is an iconic image from Star Wars and this is my Lino cut and Print

The image is 200mm high and 150mm wide, on Japanese Masa 89g paper in 3 colours, paper is 265mm x 198mm

This was my first attempt at a 3 colour print, I wasn’t brave enough to do a reduction cut, I am working on a poppy print and plan to try out the reduction process on this. A 3 colour print means 3 Linocuts one for each colour, and registration – this is a big deal, printing the first colour in this case the yellow, waiting for them to dry, printing the second colour the turquoise blue colour, waiting for this to dry and then printing the final Brown colour.
I lost a few prints at each stage, and realised that registration is a lot harder than I thought it would be.

Next time I need to plan more, be more accurate with my registration and cut away more of the areas that I don’t want to print. But its all a learning curve.

Out of the first batch of printing a think I managed to get 8 that I would be happy to sell and 7 that I have scrapped
